Job Description
As a Network Planning Engineer at F.Y.K. Group GmbH, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and implementing network infrastructure that meets our clients’ needs for reliability, scalability, and sustainability. This position requires expertise in network architecture, electrical engineering, and advanced simulation tools to develop detailed plans that align with regulatory standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop network layouts and schematics for high-voltage transmission and distribution systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies and assess network capacity to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Perform load flow and short circuit studies, and analyze protection coordination.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies, renewable energy sources, and energy storage into network designs.
- Prepare technical documentation, including network planning reports, cost estimations, and project timelines.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with regional, national, and industry standards.
- Support the project team in the installation, testing, and commissioning of network infrastructure.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and technologies in the field of power engineering and network planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in network planning or power engineering, preferably within the energy sector.
- Proficiency in power system simulation tools (e.g., PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP).
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage network design, protection schemes, and power quality analysis.
- Experience with regulatory compliance in network planning and utility standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to project challenges.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
